Every year since about the middle of my college years, I've been helping put together a group outing up to my folks place in Coloma, Michigan for some water skiing, grillin', (possibly some chillin') and usually some laughs. The first year, we called it the "Coloma Film Festival", because we demo'd some films that we had made. (yes, yes...I know...NERD ALERT!!!)
So, that film making has stopped (too bad!), but the "Film Festival" is still rockin' on. We've added the name "Club Coca" to the title, and the crowd ebbs and flows, but it's still going strong.
The 2006 version of the Club Coca Film Festival is set for one week from today. I think I might head up there Thursday and work from there. (we have wi-fi) [actually....the neighbors have wi-fi]
Funny how things change. This year there will be no films but there will be mostly the same crew and at least one pregnant woman. Growing up sure is interesting.
